PTK Receives Five Star Chapter Recognition at Catalyst Event
Posted Date: 4/23/24

The Arkansas State University-Beebe Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society recently attended the PTK Catalyst International Convention in Orlando, Florida, held April 4-6.

PTK Catalyst is Phi Theta Kappa’s premier annual event, bringing together members, advisors, and their supporters for professional development and celebration of the accomplishments of the PTK community.

Those attending from ASU-Beebe were PTK members Alexandra Perez, Jacob Cater, Zanib Ali and Cyndy Rios, along with PTK co-chairs Meredith Gordon, assistant professor of biology and Eddie Supratman, assistant professor of history and comparative religion. The group presented an educational forum on intentional student engagement.

Also, during the event, the ASU-Beebe PTK was recognized as a Five Star Chapter for the second year in a row. The five-star designation recognizes local chapters with the highest level of success in campus and community engagement activities throughout the course of one academic year. Since the ASU-Beebe PTK chapter was chartered in April 2022, membership has grown from 139 to 270.
